I. Cấu trúc 1 bài writing Task 2 hoàn chỉnh
1. Đoạn giới thiệu mà trong đó bạn sẽ phát biểu một cách rõ ràng về chủ đề được thảo luận
2. Phần chính trong đó mà bạn phát biểu một cách rõ ràng trong những đoạn riêng lẻ và được vi dụ hoặc được làm rõ
3. Một đoạn kết bài tổng kết những ý chính của bài tiểu luận, phát biểu lại ý kiến của mình, và đưa ra sự cân nhắc cân bằng của chủ đề
- Should (Nên)
• Use formal style (Sử dụng lối viết trang trọng)
• Use topic sentence to introduce the subject of each paragraph (Sử dụng câu chủ đề để giới thiệu về vấn đề mỗi đoạn)
• Giving reason and examples following the topic sentences (Dura ra lý do và ví dụ đi sau mỗi câu chủ đề)
• Use linking words / phrases (Sử dụng từ, cụm từ nối)
• Make references to other sources (e.g. experts have proved that....) (Dẫn dắt đến những nguồn khác)
• Answer the question, not the topic (Trả lời câu hỏi chứ không phải chủ đề)
- Should not (Không nên)
• Use short form, informal/ colloquial language (Sử dụng từ ngữ thân mật, dạng rút gọn,..)
• Use very emotional language (e.g. I absolutely detest people who....) (Sử dụng từ ngữ biểu cảm)
• Express personal opinions too strongly (e.g I know....) instead, use milder expressions (e.g. It seems to me that....) (Diễn đạt quan điểm cá nhân một cách mạnh mẽ thay vì diễn đại một cách trung lập)
• Use personal examples ( e.g. in my school ) (Sử dụng ví dụ cá nhân)

* Process of doing a "for and against" essay
Step 1: analyze the question (phân tích câu hỏi)
- Paraphrase the question: find the synonyms, phrasal verbs, etc. to write words with the same or related meaning (Diễn giải câu hỏi : tìm từ đồng nghĩa, cụm động từ, để viết các từ giống nhau hoặc cùng nghĩa)
- Find 2-3 advantages (+ examples or supporting information), 2-3 disadvantages (+examples or supporting information)
(Tìm 2-3 lợi ịch +ví dụ hoặc thông tin bổ trợ, 2-3 bất lợi + ví dụ hoặc thông tin bổ trợ)
- Decide the structure of the essay (Quyết định cấu trúc của bài tiểu luận)
Step 2 : Write your essay (viết bài)

Always add examples / explanations/ illustrations / reasons / consequences ..... It is essential to form paragraphs. Each paragraph must have a key sentence (-usually at the beginning). Don't write any one-sentence-paragraphs. Examples: Take for example..... Take for instance..... One example out of many is..... Just look at..... This idea can best be illustrated by an example..... |

I. Common structure in an opinion essay

II. Process of doing an opinion essay
Step 1: Analyze the question (Phân tích câu hỏi)
- Paraphrase the question: find synonyms, phrasal verbs, etc. to write words with the same or related meaning. (Diễn đạt câu hỏi : tìm từ đồng nghĩa, cụm động từ,... để viết các từ đồng nghĩa hoặc có nghĩa liên quan)
- List reasons for and against. Choose the side that you have more ideas (Liệt kê lý do thuận và chống. Chọn quan điểm mà bạn có nhiều ý tưởng hơn)
- Back up your reason with clear examples (Dự phòng lý do của bạn với các ví dụ rõ ràng)
- Decide the structure of the essay (Quyết định cấu trúc của bài tiểu luận)
Step 2: Write your essay (Viết bài)
